Imana Residential Building

The Imana project is a residential apartment located on a dead-end street. The site is positioned at the corner of the plot, adjacent to a square at the end of the dead-end. This project is designed as a single-unit residence, shaped based on the site’s characteristics and the defined spatial program. The design focuses on creating green courtyards at the building’s corner, which is adjacent to the square. Due to the geometric setbacks in this section, stepped green terraces have been formed, which integrate seamlessly with the layout of the residential units. One of the primary objectives of the design was to minimize visual intrusion from the exterior façade. The aim was to achieve a unified material system throughout the project. In line with this approach, the façade design consists of a movable shell that can close off where the building’s mass aligns with the street. Another design consideration was the use of vertical and horizontal sections to create voids within the residential units, enhancing spatial quality and natural light penetration. The material concept for the project involved the use of a monochromatic green glazed traditional bricks. This choice not only ensures a cohesive aesthetic for the building but also provides visual diversity within its components.
