Situated in one of the social hubs of Qom city, this project serves as a restaurant complex with two stories dedicated to fast food and two stories dedicated to a fine dining. Taking into account the function of the building and the narrow width of the site, the idea was to create a spatial division which forms both the interior and the exterior of the project while provides access, seating area, as well as green spaces. The main criteria was to design spaces for people to dine surrounded by greenery and to create a joyful atmosphere full of green space and a pleasant presence of natural light. Working in sections and plans simultaneously, a series of voids were implemented to allow sunlight penetration in different interior spaces and to create dining areas in between green zones. Regular modules define different functions throughout the building, such as the main staircase which occupies one module. These modules define not only the seating areas but also the green spaces which contain trees at the exterior section. This project attempts to create identity in the social culture of the city by using the garden productions in the recipe used in the restaurants. These trees create a vertical garden on the façade, providing a pleasant view for the customers in the restaurants. A combination of brick and glass was used to form both the exterior and the interior enclosures. Bricks were organized in patterns with small gaps in some sections to allow sunlight penetration into the building. The artificial lighting of the project was also designed based on this pattern. In section, the created voids enable view from the sidewalk to different floors of the building. The roof top of the building is also a semi open space which could be closed by a folding fabric roof during the hot hours of the day.
